ROBERT FAIRBANK has been a professional goldsmith for over 30 years, designing and fabricating exquisite jewelry for private clients, galleries and fine jewelers. He is the President and a founding partner of Goldsmiths 3.

Robert’s training includes both formal and independent studies at several art schools in the Boston area (University of Massachusetts (Amherst), Massachusetts College of Art, and The Boston Museum School of Fine Arts). An inquisitive mind and love of gemstones led him to The Gemological Institute of America and course work in diamond grading, colored gemstone grading, and gemstone identification.

Robert’s skill as a craftsman has kept him in demand as an instructor of specialty workshops throughout the region at institutions such as the Massachusetts College of Art, The DeCordova Museum School, and more recently, MetalWerx in Waltham, MA.
