| About > Vincent Ferrini VINCENT FERRINI, one of the founding members of Goldsmiths 3, officially retired from his position as part owner of the studio and gallery in 1999. He now resides in Northern California with his wife and family, but still produces select, one-of-a-kind pieces featured in our gallery. Vincent’s career in the field of fine craft has spanned fifty years to date. He holds degrees in education (Tufts University) and fine arts (Boston Museum School and Rochester Institute of Technology), Vincent taught and lectured for three decades in the United States and abroad. While on sabbatical from his post as Associate Professor of Art at Boston University School for the Arts in 1974 -1975, he traveled to England as a guest of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths (one of the oldest continuous craft guilds in Europe). There he toured as visiting artist and guest lecturer at several schools and colleges including Sir John Cass College of Art and The Royal College of Art (London). In 1988, he was again invited to London by the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and honored with induction to the Company as a Fellow. He is the recipient of numerous awards for design and excellence in craftsmanship and his works reside in private and public collections worldwide, among these: The School of American Crafts (Rochester, NY), Mobel Glass (Teufen, Switzerland), The Murcutt Collection (Sydney, Australia), and The Fuller Memorial Art Museum (Brockton, MA).
